34 million patients just got a lifeline with an expiration date.

Community health centers secured their biggest funding commitment in years. But the policy environment surrounding that commitment is creating headwinds that could limit how much of the authorized funding translates into expanded capacity for the patients who need it most.

📊 The Community Health Center Fund reauthorization was a genuine legislative achievement, reflecting sustained advocacy from the FQHC community and recognition from policymakers that community health centers deliver primary care at lower cost with better access outcomes than any alternative model for the populations they serve.
